SEJARAH INTERNET
Internet merupakan jaringan komputer yang dibentuk oleh Departemen Pertahanan Amerika Serikat di tahun 1969, melalui proyek ARPA yang disebut ARPANET (Advanced Research Project Agency Network), di mana mereka mendemonstrasikan bagaimana dengan hardware dan software komputer yang berbasis UNIX, kita bisa melakukan komunikasi dalam jarak yang tidak terhingga melalui saluran telepon. Proyek ARPANET merancang bentuk jaringan, kehandalan, seberapa besar informasi dapat dipindahkan, dan akhirnya semua standar yang mereka tentukan menjadi cikal bakal pembangunan protokol baru yang sekarang dikenal sebagai TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol).

Before designing a website, it is important to know the characteristics and technical specifications for the website in Photoshop:
- Resolution images / Resolution: 72dpi. (printing is usually 150dpi - 300dpi).
- Using colors: RGB.
- Designing websites with a wide / width: 974-984 pixels. Make sure there is space wide enough to put background websites.
- Length / height: 768 pixel minimum.
- ICC Profiles to the non-disabled.
- To save the object / image on the web, use: File> Save For Web.
- To store images, use the format: JPEG, GIF and PNG.
- If using a JPG format, its image quality start from 45 - 70%. Make sure the picture is not broken, and for each object and image, not much bigger than 40kb, except for special images such as the header and gallery website.
- Compare the file size of GIF and JPG. Take the smallest.
- For an image of transparency, we recommend using PNG. Only, the transparency of this file does not appear in Internet Explorer 6.0 with the exception of the javascripts hack (transparency hack). Other solutions using GIF. It's just that the result is not as smooth as PNG (Jaggy edges).
- If you want to export the PNG image format, should be done in Fireworks (products from Adobe).
